Wirebound or Wireless?
Both wireless and wirebound monitoring and data logging systems allow uninterrupted acquisition of moisture, temperature and humidity measurements. Real-time data can be viewed on site or practically anywhere in the world with remote log-in. Choose the system that aligns best with your installation environment, maintenance capabilities, and budget. While wirebound systems provide reliability in stable settings, wireless systems offer flexibility and accessibility.
Wirebound Systems
Ideal for: Stable environments where wiring can be installed and maintained easily, or high temperature environment.
Maintenance: Generally, requires more maintenance than wireless system due to physical wiring.
Installation: Initial costs can be lower if wiring can be easily routed.
Wireless Systems
Ideal for: Hard-to-reach areas where running cables is impractical.
Data Transmission: Uses transmitters to send data to a receiver.
Temperature Limit: Transmitters can operate up to 185°F.
Installation Costs: Higher initial costs then wirebound system due to advanced technology,
but savings on installation.
Operating Range: Up to 1000 ft line of sight. If necessary, receivers can be daisy-chained
to extend range.
Flexibility: Can be easily repositioned or scaled as needed.
Wireless Transmitters and Receivers
The wireless system from Lignomat offers outstanding accuracy for the entire measuring range. They are air and watertight, totally sealed off from the environment, and have long battery life.

Receiver:
The receiver collects measurements from up to 100 transmitters. Any combination of different transmitters can be sent to one receiver. The receiver sends all measurements to the PC or the CMS unit. To extend the range, receivers can be daisy-chained to extend range.
Transmitter MC:
FEP-coated probes or stainless steel screws can be embedded in wood, drywall or other materials and connected to the transmitter with a short cable for moisture readings in %. If required, extension cables are available.
Transmitter TE:
The highly accurate stainless steel probe is used for measuring temperature either on the surface or inside the material. They are often used in the kiln industry for required documentation of the phytosanitation heat treatment before exporting lumber.
Transmitter RH/T – single or double:
The Transmitter RH/T comes with one cable connection for one RH BluePeg Probe. While the Transmitter 2 RH/T is more economical for multi-transmitter system and comes with two cable connections for two RH BluePeg Probes.
Transmitter MC-TE-RH/T:
One transmitter measures it all:
– moisture in wood, drywall or other materials
– surface and exterior temperature
– relative humidity and air moisture
Other standard combinations: Transmitter MC-TE and MC-RH/T
IMMEDIATE ALERT FOR TIMELY ACTION BETTER QUALITY AND ENHANCED EFFICIENCY
